This was absolutely impossible. Even years later, knowing how this game ended, it is truly astonishing that the Patriots were able to win this game. To come back 25 points in any football game is hard, to do it in 17 minutes is outrageous, to do it in the Super Bowl is legendary.

@Steve jawn I doubt it. The thing is, it's sports. If you have ever played any competitive sports, you would know momentum is a real thing. Once the other team has the momentum, you have to hope you can hold on. I played HS ball and one time we gave up a 28 point 1st half lead, and ended up losing in overtime. We wanted it so bad because it was our senior year and it was against our rivals. Sometimes when you want it soooo bad you make bonehead plays and/or calls. The Falcons knew it was their one shot and they blew it. Brady knew he would continue to make it back, so he had less pressure if he lost. Also, according to you, every comeback, ever, is rigged. I do believe refs and players can be bought but as far as NFL, it's not scripted.

I will never forget being in jail for this one. The whole unit thought the game was over as did I. I will never forget there was a couple mins left and the screws called lock down for lights out. Needless to say we didn't lock in and got to see the goat complete the greatest comeback ever.

5 years since the greatest football game of all time was played. I sat there mesmerised the entire 2nd half at the greatness of Tom Brady. It was the game I finally realised that Brady is the GOAT. Very rare you’ll ever see anyone in the sort of zone Brady was in. Everything he touched turned to gold.

At 16:13 mark. 3rd and 10, backed up into almost own endzone. Game literally on the line. Best throw of Brady's career in my opinion. He threw ball even before hogan broke his route and had back to Brady. Hogan turned at last second and ball was right there in his facemask. Incredible throw under unimaginable game pressure.

Falcons fan here, this game still haunts the city nearly 5 years later. Every time Tom Brady is shown on a tv in a local bar, it gets eerily silent.

As heartbreaking as seeing my Seahawks lose at the 1 yard line, I can imagine this was more heartbreaking if you're a falcons fan. Seahawks fans can at least look back at our super bowl 48 win, but all falcons fans can really do is imagine that they most likely would've scraped by with the win if their team ran that ball after Julio Jones's catch and kicked a field goal.

As a falcons fan watching these highlights makes me realize just how many things had to go just right for the Patriots and just how many things had to go wrong for the Falcons in the second half for the Patriots to make that comeback, And this really is a game of inches because if Freeman take just a nod to his right maybe he slows down flowers enough so Matt could atleast get the ball off, and eldelman was just a inch from not making that miraculous catch, either one of those plays could have resulted in the Falcons holding that lead, I still question why in the hell didn't we just run the ball after Julio made that spectacular catch
