Prince and Michael Jackson we're the best. They were both one-of-a-kind. I must say I was blessed to see both of their concerts at the Super Bowl. We will never see anything like them again. We miss you guys and you will always be loved and remembered.

This wasn't just a half time show... it was a moment. Its sits among the greats ... Queen at live aid, Brooks in central park, Marvin Gaye's 1983 National Anthem performance, and Clapton playing tears in Heaven Unplugged. Prince passing has left a gaping hole in music that may one day be filled, but not in my lifetime. He was the Mozart of his generation.

I actually performed in this halftime show. I was in the Marching band. (shout out to the Marching 100) fall 2006. This night will always be very special to me. Yes, it did rain on us! Yes, the led lights made the rain .."purple rain", On everything I love and lived for... you have never seen or felt ANYTHING like it. It was very surreal, with every odd that could have existed, the perfect condition (the rain falling at that moment, and the LED lights turning purple for the feature). all came into play at that very moment. As if nature itself complemented his performance. It was scary, unlikely, beautiful, and destined.. and it felt good. Thank You Prince for the experience.

This man was the epitome of professionalism............and it shows the quality level of the folks he picked to accompany him during his performance. They danced like it was nothing. I was so concerned someone was going to get hurt.

We must bow for the whole production team. To set this up in 14minutes and give us 6 minutes with Prince and everyting Just works to the maxxxx... Is Magic!! A big big big salute to those peeps!

I was 11 years old. I remember my dad coming to my room and asking if I wanted to watch Prince play the halftime show. I had no idea who Prince was and my dad explained that Prince was a bad ass musician and guitar player. I had just started playing guitar around that time. I watched that halftime show in awe. I'm almost 25 years old now and owe my 14 years of playing to being inspired by Prince's halftime show. There will NEVER be a more iconic halftime show.

My hardcore metal-loving friends laugh at me when I make the claim that Prince was THE BEST rock guitarist. (God bless you Jimi, but YES!! Better than Hendrix.) Watch the R & R Hall of Fame performance, then watch it again with the knowledge of NO rehearsal! Prince was asked a week before if he'd like to join in on "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" and only confirmed that he would just hours ahead of soundcheck. Not only did we, the listening audience, have NO IDEA what Prince would do, nor did the other players on stage. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, check it out! One last comment. I would be remiss if I didn't. It's painful to recognize that yes, Prince joined the long list of others that have died prematurely due to drug addiction. As a recovering alcoholic (14 years sober), if you or someone close to you have an alcohol and/or drug addiction, please seek help. Life is so much better sober.

Prince was so larger than life, probably the only famous person who had a direct connection with the elements of nature. I remember after he died in April 2016 my area received record rain fall from late April to June.

MJ enjoyed favour and talent.People just loved him esp because he was a child star and he could put on a show. Prince enjoyed talent and ingenuity.People respected him for how he made music,the instruments and how he could play live. Both are great in different ways.

What angers me is when people pit exceptional musicians/artists, etc against each other. They are all greats in what they have done. I remember when I first heard the J5...I thought Wow. When I heard Prince I thought the same! I never dreamed MJ would leave his brothers behind🙁. They must have worked something out amongst themselves, and knew that their little brother couldn’t be held back🙂
