After watching this year's halftime show, I come to realize that the world wasn't prepared to understand the perfection and flawlessness of The Weeknd's performance. This man took all the action single-handedly! Salute.

@SmithCommaBenjaminehhh. Whether if used more or less effects that other performances by artists who play the halftime show, in the end it doesn’t matter too much because it’s called ENTERTAINMENT. It’s meant to “ooo” and “ahhh” you, even if you don’t understand it. I’m a hugeeee fan of Eminem, Dr Dre, Snoop, and every single other artist who performed on that halftime show, but in my option they BOMBEDDD. I was so excited for it, and 1-2 minutes after it started, I walked away because of how dull and how much it lacked originality & creativity for such big names performing. I was highly disappointed. Especially with Eminem. (Remember: these are my personal opinions)

the weeknd has always been ahead of time when it comes to music - but this performance gives me genuine goosebumps and tears in my eyes. I’ve listened to the Weeknd since the beginning and I’m insanely proud of him and this performance. Looking back a yr ago I am still awed by Abel’s iconic performance during last year’s NFL Halftime event. He single-handedly did it with his live voice ( no dubbing or lip syncing) and own money ( as he paid for it). Don’t understand why many peeps don’t appreciate that. I'm a Minnesota Metalhead that grew up in the 80's with a lot of listening to Snoop, Dre and NWA and this still, is by far, my favorite SuperBowl HalfTime show ever. I had no idea who the Weeknd was before this performance and Abel has since become one of my favorite performers and all of his music has made it into my rotation.

This was a FANTASTIC halftime show… I know some people don’t like it as much as the previous ones and yes I do feel like some songs were perhaps a bit rushed and maybe would have fared better if he sang them for longer or took one out but that doesn’t take away from the spectacle of this performance by a single man!! He carried this show to the max and I will always be impressed by how flawlessly he sang each song, his vocals, the transitions … this will be a show to infinitely admire (and I am not only saying this cause The Weeknd is my favorite artist)

I can see why people didn’t like it, but for Abel this was a step up. He doesn’t even do this much at his concerts, so this was tremendous. Not to mention the live vocals….This is really under appreciated though.

The transition from House of Balloons to Blinding Lights is pure ecstasy. The absolute frisson that is the beginning and the end meeting into one amazing climactic symphony is just too much. Pure art, I don't care what anyone says.

This is what a halftime show should be. This high production, large space and long run time. This year's was just disappointing considering what they could have done with the artists. It wasn't bad but they just could have made it bigger and better
